IT LIGHTS UP!. Yes the heel of the shoe is plexi and it lights up. The The Jimmy Choo site states, "These eye catching Catwalk sandals with black and yellow plexi heel and flashing 'light up' detail at every step are not to be missed. Wear with DAPHNE for ultimate impact". This platform pump is a whopping $2495.00 and the heels height is 130mm/5.1". I heard about this shoe in my class from another student and I thought it was very interesting. In her presentation she read from an article that there is an on and off switch under the sole of the shoe and that the light only lasts up to about a little over 100 days. Well thank God for the light switch because if I were to pay for this shoe I would want it to last extremely long due to the price. What are your thoughts on this Catwalk phenomena.
I think the shoes are hot and probably make a strong statement while walking down the streets of New York at night. However, I don't think they are worth that much money for a light bulb that works for only 100 hours. I wonder who will be next to mimic Jimmy Choo's Zap and how long this fad will last.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS SHOE! Its so hott! the price is a lil much, but its definiely a hot idea. I wonder what other accessories will be created that light up or will glow.

ReplyDeleteI think these shoes are really cool. They are are bright and vibrant. I can seem them picking up alot of attention in big cities, but not really manstream. I feel that fashion forward women would be all over the cool concept of lighting up shoes, but wouldn't sell that well for semi-fashion concious women because they are risky. But with that said, I would wear them!!!
