Beyonce' HEAT -- Hits Stores This February

Beyonce’ Knowles and Coty Beauty Incorporated have recently joined forces to create Beyonce’s first very own fragrance, Beyonce’ HEAT. She is more than excited to get the scent into the hands of her fans. With a mix of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach, the scent is expected to do $100 million in global retail its first year. The fragrance is set to be sold in department stores and boutiques that sell her designer collection, House of Dereon, in early February. What makes this release so exciting for Beyonce is that fact that she created the product from scratch. Every bit of the product is 100% her. The bottle, the colors, the name, and commercial ideas are all Beyonce’.
Beyonce Heat was also collaboration with Givaudan’s Caude and Olivier Gillotin as far as the juice itself. Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing at Coty Beauty Inc says, “We will explore all different sides of Beyonce’ with future fragrances, but HEAT is meant to be the enduring classic.” The Beyonce’ HEAT lineup includes eaux de purfum in three sizes – 1 oz. for $39; 1.7 oz. for $49; and 3.4 oz. for $59. Now let’s “catch the fever.”

Rodarte for Opening Ceremony Hits Stores and Wallets Hard

People everywhere been looking forward to Rodarte's collaboration with Opening Ceremony since the news went public. In particular, people have been fiending for a glimpse of how the Mulleavy sisters will fare in their first foray into menswear. As expected, the shredded knits are to-die-for, and the whimsical dresses are completely lust-worthy. The only thing that we hadn't expected is the astronomical price tag! Case in point: This men's crewneck sweater and cardigan (pictured) is going for a hefty $2,760! So what do you think? Are Rodarte's famous knits worth the price or are they just inspiration for a more economical DIY? Do you think any of the guys in your life would wear it?

Avatar Makeup Tutorial: VERY FUNNY

The fashion and beauty worlds are not without Avatar freaks of their own. Beauty blogger Gloria Shuri Nava, better known on YouTube as Glowpinkstah, created a genius tutorial in Avatar makeup so you can go around looking like one of those blue CGI people. Gloria, whose previous and equally spirited tutorials include Santa Claus and Kate Gosselin, said she created the Avatar look to "pay respects to the people of Pandora." Also because, "As you all know I’m single and I want to find my own sexy man in a wheelchair with skinny legs." She says the best way to achieve the correct blue skin tone is to bleach your skin first. She didn't do that because she can't afford it, but avoids turning out too green. "If you’re starting to look like a sea urchin, you know you’re doing it right," she explains, a Jonas Brothers poster prominently displayed behind her. Videogum actually made a parody of this tutorial, but it's not nearly as good as the real thing. Watch the video to find out how she makes herself look like the village slut.

Lady Gaga Returns to Fashion Week

Fashion Week begins on February 11 in New York, and last season's most highly anticipated boldface headliner, Lady Gaga, will return this season. Did anyone expect her not to show after she asked to go to Marc Jacobs's show? (Not to mention that she'll be among an entire pretentious industry that worships her.) She will open the festivities with a performance at amfAR's annual New York gala fund-raiser on February 10 at Cipriani 42nd Street. Sir Elton John and plenty of other famous people will be there.
